How I know Shakespeare must’ve used twitter.

Surely he did. Otherwise what was he referring to when he wrote “I like this place and willingly could waste my time in it”?

I am hooked.  When my lovely Dolphin first said ‘you should go on twitter’, I thought she had gone mad.  What on earth would I say, what was the point and why would I want to ‘willingly waste my time’ doing it?

But, she’s a persuasive Dolphin, so twitter and I hooked up and have had a great relationship ever since.  A relationship similar to that which is well documented by Grace Dent in her book ‘how to leave twitter’.  If you’ve not read it, you should.  ‘That PR’ thought it was so similar to my experience he bought it for me, and I don’t think I am alone. I think once you’re bitten by the twitter bug that’s it.

I get quite tetchy when I see twitter being frittered or ignored. I fret when I see accounts with masses of followers but no tweets.  I am disappointed when businesses have great stories to tell but they stay silent. I am gobsmacked when a brilliant twitter opportunity is wasted or missed.  Positively, I delight at brilliant tweets, I applaud clever, focused tweeters and enjoy being given delicious morsels of information in 140 characters or less.  I am gutted with falling Klout scores or those dreadful qwitters (how could they?)

I do tend to share this amazement, delight and sometimes, despondency, with ‘That PR’.

He’s really pleased that the lovely Dolphin has suggested a blog; he thinks I’ll be able to share this twitter twaddle with others rather than just him.

So here I am.  Sharing.  I did share this blog with ‘That PR’ first though.
